Splashing Hand Boxing (Zan Shou Chuan)

Splashing Hands Boxing is a very rare treasure among internal martial arts. Its creation was first brought to light in China during the creation of the Shaolin Temple, where it was used by a specific group of monks that would only train in the system of Splashing Hands Kung Fu. Their role was to protect the temple and its students and act as the temple guard. Ensuring no one would disrupt the inside training and activities of the other monks inside by accepting challenges and fighting off invaders and robbers. Because of this the system and the monks learnt to fight first and develop higher levels of awareness second. This made the system a very effective fighting method as it was put to use and refined again and again through actual conflict. Although this was the first instance the system was seen in use its early life is shrouded in mystery. Seeing as the system was present and developed the moment the temple was built it is extremely likely that the founder of Buddhism in China, Bodhidharma, brought the system with him from India and played a key role in the teaching of Buddhism their and originating from the likes of the great Sidharthur “The First Buddha”. One of Bodhidhamas most prominent teachings was that one must learn by being physically taught over reading it or learning it through word of mouth. This ensured that teachings from the system were kept pure and unchanged until its present day. In more recent times the system was taught to the late Master Haumea “Tiny” Lefiti who was the only person to learn it from the legendary Ark Yu Wong, who at the time refused to know the system even when show a letter from a General in the Chinese army who knew Splashing Hands, and was told by his teacher that Ark Yu Wong was indeed the only other person to know the system, informed him that Lefiti had already been instructed in the arts by himself and that he was allowed to learn the closely guarded style. After much persistence and time spent not backing down Lefiti was taken in has his only student of Splashing Hands, despite him having many over students in various other styles at his school. Lefiti then become the first person to openly teach these techniques on America where he also incorporated them in the creation of the Lima Lama Society and System.

The system just like ancient times is built around learning to fight first and internally develop second. Because of this drilling applications and learning how to fight are the very fundamentals of the system, it is not pretty or elegant but straight to the point street fighting. Emphasising lighting speed and relentless attack after attack over power and strength and once you start hitting you do not stop until the opponent has stopped moving. There are six grades to Splashing Hands and all focus on the fighting aspect, with drilling combinations of jab punch, straight leg kicks, uppercuts, hammer fists, elbows and shuffles, thousands of times per session per day you will very quickly become one with the basic concepts of the style and a very competent fighter, there will be very few if at all no one who will be able to match your speed and ferocity.

After these six grades have been learned the system will then begin to divulge its highest secrets of internal movement and philosophies. This will give you hidden strength and power very few can even dream about.
